Instructions
 

Cooking the Filling

  • Place a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef with the diced onion until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add salt, black pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes, stirring to coat the meat.
  • Incorporate the chopped pepperoni and cook for a few minutes, then drain off any excess grease.
  • Add marinara sauce and minced garlic, stirring to combine, then remove from heat.

Preparing the Batter

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the Bisquick baking mix, milk, and eggs until smooth.
  • Prepare a pie pan with cooking spray.

Assembling the Pie

  • Layer half of the beef mixture in the bottom of the pie pan, followed by 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  • Add the remaining beef mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella.
  • Pour the Bisquick mixture over all layers and top with additional pepperoni slices.

Baking the Pie

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for approximately 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
