Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar together until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Toss fresh blueberries with cornstarch to coat them lightly and gently fold into the dough.
  • Scoop out 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are golden and centers remain soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Glazing
