  • 1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix Provides buttery flavor and flaky texture.
  • 1/2 block cream cheese Adds rich depth to the biscuits.
  • 8 oz container lump crabmeat Sweet and tender, it's the star ingredient.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Provides gooey goodness in each bite.
  • 3/4 cup ice-cold water Essential for binding the ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning Gives a zesty kick.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Used for flavor enhancement after baking.
  • 1 tablespoon roasted garlic Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 packet seasoning packet from the biscuit mix Integrates irresistible flavor into the biscuits.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the biscuit mix and cream cheese. Mix until a sand-like consistency forms.
  • Gradually add ice-cold water two tablespoons at a time while mixing on low speed until thick and sticky.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until fully incorporated to create a rich, cheesy batter.
  • Gently fold in the drained crab meat and Cajun seasoning by hand, keeping crab lumps intact.
  • Spray hands and a baking sheet with olive oil or non-stick spray. Form the biscuit dough into 6 to 8 round balls and place them on the sheet with space between.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake biscuits for 14 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Finishing Touch

  • Melt butter in a saucepan, mix with seasoning packet and roasted garlic.
  • Drizzle warm garlic butter over biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.

Notes

Serve hot from the oven. For variations, use low-fat cheese or add diced jalapeños for heat. They can also be frozen raw for future baking.
