Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and dried dill until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and salt, cooking until caramelized. Set aside.

Cooking

  • Add another tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble gently until just set. Keep warm.
  • Toss shaved steak with Worcestershire sauce and Montreal steak seasoning until evenly coated.
  • Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet, then add seasoned steak. Cook until browned, then return caramelized onions to the skillet.
  • Divide the steak and onion mixture, topping each portion with a slice of American cheese to melt.

Assembly

  • Toast the bagel halves until golden brown. Spread the special sauce on both halves.
  • Layer the scrambled eggs, followed by the steak and onion mixture, and top with the other bagel half. Serve immediately.
