  • 1 teaspoon onion powder offering a subtle sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon paprika delivering a smoky depth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano invoking Mediterranean vibes
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil lending a fragrant sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for the perfect sauté

For the pasta and sauce

  • 1 pound penne pasta al dente perfection waiting to soak up all the flavors
  • 2 tablespoons butter contributing a rich creaminess
  • 1 cup heavy cream creating that luscious sauce
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese for a salty, nutty finish
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley brightening up the dish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and basil.
  • Season the chicken breasts on both sides with the spice mixture.

Cooking

  • In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • While the chicken is baking, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
  • In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley to the skillet, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  • Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve the creamy pasta on plates and top with sliced chicken breasts.
  • Garnish with additional parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Notes

For best results, stay organized and marinate chicken for up to an hour before cooking to deepen flavors. Ensure pasta is cooked al dente to maintain texture.
