  • 2 tbsp Chives For garnish, adds color and flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Prepare your ice bath: use a separate pan or bowl filled with ice cubes and water to cool down your eggs after they've cooked.
  • Select a pot big enough for 6 eggs, covering them with cold water (4 to 5 cups).
  • Add 1/4 tsp of kosher salt to the water to enhance flavor and aid peeling.
  • Bring the water to a rolling boil, then reduce heat to low and let the eggs simmer gently for about 14 minutes.

Cooling and Peeling

  • After 14 minutes, quickly remove the eggs and submerge them in your ice bath for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Once cool, carefully peel each egg, ensuring no shell remnants remain.

Filling

  • Cut each egg lengthwise and gently remove the yolks into a small mixing bowl.
  • Mash the yolks and mix with Miracle Whip, apple cider vinegar, yellow mustard, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in the sweet relish and black pepper if desired.

Assembly

  • Using a piping bag or spoon, fill the egg white halves with the yolk mixture.
  • Garnish with paprika and chopped chives.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve to enhance flavors.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the eggs to prevent a greenish ring around the yolks. Use fresh eggs for easier peeling, and keep them in an ice bath immediately after boiling.
