Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin Select a tender cut for a juicy bite.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds richness and helps to sear the beef beautifully.
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced, these cloves will infuse the dish with a compelling aroma.
  • 1 medium onion Chopped finely, it will bring sweetness and depth to your sauce.
  • 1 cup beef broth This will create a flavorful base for the sauce.
  • 8 ounces pasta Choose your favorite type; spaghetti or fettuccine works beautifully.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for enhancing all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds a subtle heat that complements the dish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika For a hint of smokiness and color.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional, for those who enjoy a touch of spice.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Chopped, it adds a fresh, vibrant finish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by preparing the ingredients. Thinly slice the beef sirloin, mince the garlic, chop the onion, and finely chop the fresh parsley.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Add the sliced beef sirloin to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Next, add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the pot. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, scraping the fond from the bottom of the pot.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the beef mixture with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the pot with the beef mixture. Toss until the pasta is well coated.
  • Remove the pot from heat and sprinkle the fresh parsley on top.
  • Serve the Garlic Beef Pasta hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a healthier alternative, use whole grain or gluten-free pasta. Consider adding more vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
