Preparation

  • Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes and place them in a bowl of cold water to prevent browning.
  • Finely chop the onion and garlic cloves.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Introduce the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, and paprika, stirring to combine.
  • Mix in the diced potatoes to soak up the flavors.
  • Pour in the beef broth and cover the skillet with a lid.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Adjust seasoning as needed before serving hot.
