Spices and Oils

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Elevates overall taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano Enhances the Italian flair.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it forms a generous rectangle.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Layer pepperoni, green bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and black olives atop the cheese.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil over the toppings.

Assembly and Baking

  • Starting from one of the longer edges, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape.
  • Place the stromboli seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush olive oil over the top.
  • Make a few slits on the top using a sharp knife to allow steam to escape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Slice into individual portions and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature dough. Don't overload the filling to avoid tearing. Let the stromboli rest before slicing for cleaner cuts.
