  • 1/2 tsp onion powder Adds a hint of sweetness.
  • 1/4 tsp salt Essential for enhancing the taste.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper A dash of spice.
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish) A bright and fresh touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • If using whole cauliflower, pulse it in a food processor until it resembles rice. Steam or microwave the cauliflower rice until tender, about 5 to 6 minutes. Let it cool slightly before squeezing out as much water as possible.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the dried cauliflower rice, shredded cheddar cheese, almond flour, egg, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until a sticky mixture forms.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the mixture into small cylinders and place them on the baking sheet, leaving space between each tot.

Cooking

  • Bake the tots for 18 to 20 minutes. Flip them once they are golden on one side and continue baking for an additional 8 to 10 minutes until crisp on all sides. For an extra crispy finish, broil them for 1 to 2 minutes, watching closely.
  • Allow the tots to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and offer dipping options such as ranch, sugar-free ketchup, or spicy mayo.

Notes

Ensure the cauliflower is thoroughly drained to avoid soggy tots. Experimenting with herbs and spices can customize the flavor. For a dairy-free version, swap cheddar with a nut-based cheese alternative.
