Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Place the cod fillets in the greased baking dish in a single layer.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well.
  • Pour the lemon butter mixture over the cod fillets, ensuring even coating.

Cooking

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh cod. You can marinate the cod in the lemon butter for 30 minutes for enhanced flavors. Avoid overcooking the fish.
