Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 3-5 minutes.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  • Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped cranberries gently.

Baking

  • Roll the dough into balls, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Flatten the balls slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack.

Notes
