  • 1 cup granulated sugar Sweetness that balances the flavors perfectly.
  • 2 large eggs Provides structure and moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For that delightful, warm aroma.
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Adds depth and a luscious chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Helps bind everything together.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances the sweetness and flavor.

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Makes our cookie dough irresistibly creamy.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar For a touch of caramel sweetness in the cookie dough.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Continues to enhance the sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons milk Adds moisture and creaminess to the cookie dough.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract A familiar, comforting flavor note.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, heat-treated Ensures safety and lends a soft texture.
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips Tiny bursts of chocolate in our cookie dough.

For the Drizzle

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips For a lovely, melt-in-your-mouth drizzle.
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cream (optional) Optional for those who prefer a silky finish.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a mini muffin pan by greasing it or lining it with paper liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined. Next, add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. Gradually stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until you achieve a smooth batter.
  • Carefully fill each mini muffin cavity about two-thirds full with your brownie batter and bake for 15 to 18 minutes. They should be just set on top but still fudgy in the middle. Remove them from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan.
  • In another mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter with both brown sugar and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is incorporated. Gradually add the heat-treated flour, stirring until combined, then fold in the mini chocolate chips for that delightful surprise.
  • Once your brownie bites are completely cool, gently press a small scoop of cookie dough on top of each brownie bite.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 20-second bursts, stirring in between. If you prefer a smoother drizzle, mix in the butter or cream, then drizzle generously over the topped brownie bites.
  • Place the brownie bites in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes until the chocolate drizzle has fully set.

Notes

Allowing the brownie bites to chill enhances the flavors and ensures the drizzle sets nicely. These treats are great for parties, gatherings, or just a cozy night in!
