  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully, giving that gooey stretch.

For Serving

  • 1 French baguette or similar bread, sliced Perfect for dipping, with a crisp exterior and soft inside.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced cherry tomatoes, finely diced red onion, minced garlic, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir and set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  • Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped fresh basil, and Italian seasoning into the creamy cheese mixture.
  • Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Spread the creamy cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
  • Spoon the tomato mixture over the creamy cheese layer.

Baking & Serving

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbling and slightly golden.
  • While the dip is baking, arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with the toasted baguette slices.

Notes

Make sure your cream cheese is thoroughly softened to avoid lumps in your dip. Let the tomato mixture sit for 10-15 minutes after mixing to intensify the flavors. If time permits, prepare the dip a few hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
