For the Filling
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened The star of the filling.
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar Balances the tanginess of cream cheese.
Instructions
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread. Top with sliced strawberries and press another slice of bread on top to form a sandwich.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter until melted.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and allow to soak for a few seconds.
